ISO Results We are pleased to report that following our ISO evaluation, we continue to maintain a 4 rating in town and a 9 in outlying areas of our district. This means lower insurance costs for our taxpayers. __________________________________________ We are currently accepting applications for Volunteer Reserve Firefighters. __________________________________________ Thank you for visiting the Louisville Fire Department homepage. Comprehensive Planning The department believes that the key to providing a “Best in Class” service is through planning. Our comprehensive plan delineates the department’s vision for the future and the financial challenges to meet these customer driven expectations. Our citizens have grown to expect services that manage “all risk” emergencies and we have organized ourselves to meet these changing expectations. More importantly, we strive to improve every citizen’s quality of life through high standards and solving the customer’s problem. Our Family Serving Your Family “Our Family Serving Your Family” is our motto and we try everyday to make it more than just a slogan. We try and live this motto every time we have contact with you and your family. It’s our belief that the quality of the care we provide is directly impacted by the quality of people we have in the department. We treat all of our customers as though they were part of our family. Financial Analysis At the request of our Board of Directors we have provided you a copy of the current budget. This document shows not only anticipated expenditures but also the goal for the budget year. FY 2008 budget. It seems as though service quality and low fiscal impact are often in contention with each other, and it’s probably safe to say that quality costs more! Yet improved service doesn’t necessarily equate directly to money spent. That said, we strive to balance spending with quality in every service we provide.
